Got my low beam HID's in already from DDMtuning/Apexcone. I love them. Anyone interested in doing it they are about the same price as HIDgate from ebay and they have a lifetime warranty and a real company to honor that warranty unlike ebay seller... My highs and fogs should be here today so I'll get some pics this weekend.

In my 08 Charger...

Price was something like 80 bucks per kit, so I'm almost 250 in it right now for all 3 sets after shipping. I got the BOW (Bulb Out Warning) harness for additional $ the first time and don't seem to need it, they don't need extra crap for the flicker as the HID gate ones do as these are completely digital balasts which also apparently make the bulbs last longer due to better voltage regulation...

I got the ones at the top (slim balast ddm) they since got some other cheaper brands that are supposedly similar or equal in quality but I went with same for my other kits. The bulbs are 9005 (high) 9006 (low) and h10 (fogs). I got all 35w kits and they are still much brighter and better to see with. I toyed with the idea of 50w and I just didn't do it... I'd kinda like to see the blinding power of them though if anyone has the cohones!

Oh, compatability was direct. the harnesses look factory, the modules are easy to mount. I haven't hid them yet and don't know if I will... they are mounted to the front rail that goes across over the radiator right now. The only thing I had to do was reverse polarity on their harnesses (could have done factory harness but they recommended changing theirs, that way returning to factory is easy)

Apparently dodge likes reversing the polarity of their bulbs, which for regular bulbs doesn't matter but for LED's and HID's it does.... Keep that in mind if you do any LED's and they don't work...

I'm surprised. I thought HIDs would be a lot more expensive and a lot more difficult to install. Or is this jsut because the '08s amd '09s are actually built to come with an HID option?

nope, unless you got HID's from the factory, it is no different than the 06-07's from what I've seen... If you DO have HID's from the factory, the lows are the only HID's so if you are anything like me with my last car, don't kill yourself trying to match bulbs to look "kinda like HID" change your highs and fogs to match! Go real HID!

Ok, Major update to this... put the Highs in and took the aforemntioned BOW3 harnesses out (warning code eliminators) They worked fine at first... then didn't, then flashed a bit then didn't..... You definitely need these!!! I had previously thought that you didn't because in all the messing around and reversed wires and what not, I never got a "bulb out" warning but the other use of these things is that some cars actually shut down the lights if they detect and anomaly in voltage... that would be HAL!!! I hate that guy!!! lol

Put the fogs in and no problems without the BOW3 harnesses yet, I'm gonna give it a couple days before I order the ones for the highs so I can order them too if need be to save shipping...
